Hi Seamus,
I'd love to adopt 26, cos he's very colourful or, failing that, 34 cos he looks a bit spiky both are moods that match mine although I've never been colourful AND spiky at the same time!

Hi Sara,
Yes, the lions were part of a project launched by the city of Lyon in 2004. There were 60 of them, shown all over the city. In 2006 there were lions and bulls, linking up with Turin.

Jon,
I've left a message on Shameless Words. Yes, lion 26 is free and is now your adopted lion! :)

I'd like to adopt lion #30 and name him Roary. Question: Why don't we have all 60 lions to choose from? Not that I would trade mine, of course, if you let me have him. Thanks.

What a marvelous idea! I applaud you. And these Lions are all so Beautiful!
I saw Catherine's lion and thought I would love to pop over and check out ALL the others. BRAVO!

These Lions look great, but the current state of lions in this world is not so great. These Lions look all majestic, the King of the jungle, but recent lions I have seen look in bad shape. The great history and dominance of the lion is sadly waning. It says alot really about our world.

There are none left to adopt, I'm so sad. Can you find me a new lion to make my own?

Hello Shameless, I found your blog from a comment you left in response to your award, A Roar For Powerful Words. I didn't know who to link the post back to and I'm thrilled I do now. In addition I would love to become a member of the lion series but I'm confused as to how. I see how everyone is picking a lion from this list, although the inscriptions imply that these lions have been adopted. Well, I'll come back to read your response. You have a fabulous site and I love your award. Have a great day!

Hi there,
Sorry I haven't picked up on these messages of late ... this list was put together back in June when the lions were put up for adoption. Now they all have a home, I don't come by here very often.

Please please please feel free to send me a mail if you would like to be added to our list of "friends of the writing circle", which is displayed in the sidebar of the circle site. (theshamelesslionswritingcircle.blogspot.com)

I also use this list as a kind of adoption waiting list - if ever a lion suddenly becomes homeless because the owner's blog closes down, for example, then I contact people on the "friends" list to see if they are interested in adopting a lion and joining the circle.

My email is: seamuskearney@gmail.com

My personal blog is: shamelesswords.blogspot.com
